Man from Sh. Komandoo finds 30 kg ambergris

Ambergris has been discovered by a man from Sh. Atoll Komandoo.

The Komandoo Island Council said that the ambergris found by the island’s Abdul Raheem Hassan weighs 30 kilograms.

Talking to Sun Media, Abdul Raheem said that the ambergris was found this morning around 7:30 a.m. very close to the island. He said that at the time of the time he was out alone.

“At the outer edge of the island, around 7:30 that is.” Abdul Raheem said.

He said that it has been confirmed that it was ambergris that he found and it was a white ambergris.

“Everyone who checked it say it’s ambergris. (They) say it’s white ambergris.” He said.

When asked when he plans to bring it to Malé City, Abdul Raheem said that he would make that decision when his children comes and that they are on the way.
