The Sadhagaath Foundation has arranged job opportunities for 10 people with disabilities in Asandha.
21 people with disabilities had applied for jobs in theprogram, organized by Asandha and National Social Protection Agency (NSPA).

peaking during ceremony held at Muliaage on Monday to hand out appointment letters to the people chosen for the jobs, member of the interview panel – head teacher of Care Society Fathmath Zana said that 14 out of 21 people who had applied for the jobs showed up for the interview.
She said that people who were talented in spite of their disabilities were chosen for the jobs, and that their computer literacy and educational standard had also been considered as well as their capabilities.
“Asandha has provided job opportunities targeted for 10 people with disabilities in three fields. Job opportunities have been provided to 10 people who were interviewed,” said Zana.
She noted that a person with eye impairment had attended the interviews, but that the person unfortunately did not fit the criteria for the jobs. Asandha and NSPA had therefore decided that the person be employed to recite Quran in various functions.
Speaking during the ceremony, founding member of The Sadhagaaath – First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim said that it was a day significant effort had been made to protect the rights of people with disabilities.
