Passport of the former MP Nazim has been released

Supreme Court has nullified their order to seize the passport of the former MP for Dhiggaru constituency, Ahmed Nazim.

A letter sent to Nazim’s family by the Supreme Court yesterday said that they have nullified the order to seize Nazim’s passport following four cases at the court.

Supreme Court issued the order to freeze Nazim’s passport after the state brought up four cases of misappropriation against him. Nazim was sentenced to life in prison by the Supreme Court after he was convicted in one of the four cases against him.

The hearings of the other three cases against him have concluded and are pending verdicts.

Nazim is currently serving out the life sentence passed down by the Supreme Court.
