Drugs seized from boat going to Vakkaru, two arrested

Police have seized 2 kilos of drugs from a boat carrying construction material to Baa Vakkaru.

Police said two people were arrested in the operation, carried out on Monday morning in cooperation with Maldives Customs.

The drugs were discovered on MV Bonthi after it was searched under a search warrant issued by the court.

The case is under investigation by Police Drug Enforcement Department.
