Vilufushi road construction completed

Construction of the main roads in Thaa Vilufushi has been completed.

The MVR 60 million project was carried out by Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC).

MRDC Vilufushi Site Manager Mohamed Naail told Sun Media that the work was completed within six months.

The project to construct 4.22 km roads in the island was inaugurated by former president Dr Mohamed Waheed on 5 August 2013.

Ongoing road construction projects include 6 km roads in Gaafu Alifu Vilingili, 8 km roads in Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo, 6 km roads in Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo, and 4 km roads in Haa Alifu Dhidhdhoo.
