Police: A drug operation was conducted on a vessel near B. Vakkaru

Maldives Police Service has said that they conducted a drug operation on a boat near B. Vakkaru.

Information Officer of Police, Ismail Ali told Sun Media that the Drug Enforcement Department of the Police is conducting an operation on board a vessel near Vakkaru and they cannot comment on it yet.

Sun Media previously reported that MNDF was conducting an operation on board a vessel near Vakkaru as the reports came in. And the Information Officer of MNDF Adnaan Mohamed at the time said that they don’t want to comment on it.

But now MNDF is saying that Police are not onboard the vessel.
