Cool Line office broken into, safe containing MVR 80,000 stolen

Cool Line office – situated on Iskandhar Magu, near Jamaluddin School - has been broken into, with safe containing over MVR 80,000 stolen.

Hassan Rasheed – who owns Cool Line – informed “Sun” that they discovered the robbery when they went to open the office at 6:00 am on Tuesday.

He said that the office contained two safes, and that the safe containing money had been stolen.

He said that the safe contained MVR 80,000, USD 2,000 and more money in other foreign currencies.

“I think that the total value will amount to over MVR 100,000,” said Hassan Rasheed.

He said that the robbery had been brought to the attention of police, and that some officers had visited the office to conduct their investigation.

“Police are now investigating the case,” he said.

Police have been unavailable for comment regarding the case.

Cool Line is a business that installs air conditioner units and provides repair services.
