Two speedboats collide: Some in serious condition

In a dangerous collision between two speedboats at the edge of H.Dh. Hanimaadhoo lagoon, a number of people have been injured.

Six people were injured in the incident. They are being treated at Hanimaadhoo Health Center and are being prepared for transfer to Kulhudhuffushi Hospital.

Police said that some of the people injured in the collision are in serious condition. But they did not give the details of their injuries.

Police said that the two speedboats that collided have sunk and they are working with MNDF on recovering the two vessels.

In the incident that took place around 6:05 p.m. this evening, Police said that there has been no reports of a tourist being injured.
