President Abdulla Yameen has said that Maldives cannot continue to depend on the tourism sector alone.

The President made this remark while speaking at a ceremony at Dharubaaruge on Thursday night, to mark Fisheries and Agriculture Day.

He said that although it is the most lucrative, Maldivians cannot depend solely on the tourism industry, and fisheries and agriculture should also be made mainstays of the economy.
