Member of the Chinese Central Military Committee, Admiral Wu Shengli has arrived in the Maldives

A member of the Chinese Central Military Committee and Navy Commander, Admiral Wu Shengli has arrived in the Maldives on an official visit.

Admiral Wu Shengli was welcomed at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport by (INIA) the Director General of the Directorate of Counter Terrorism and the Commander of the Aviation Security Command, Brigadier General Zakariya Mansoor.

MNDF says that Admiral Shengli’s visit is to strengthen the military relationship between China and the Maldives.

The MNDF website says that Admiral Shengli would meet the Defence Minsiter, Adam Shareef and the Chief of Defence Force, Major General Ahmed Shiyam.

While Admiral Shengli is scheduled to make a visit of honor to the Victory Day Memorial, he would also be visiting the National Museum build by Chinese Government.

Admiral Wu Shengli is scheduled to depart on Tuesday, 17 November.
