Three companies shortlisted for bridge project

The government has shortlisted three companies for the construction of the Malé-Hulhulé bridge.

Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure said in a press release today that working in collaboration with China’s Ministry of Communication and Ministry of Commerce, three companies have been pre-qualified and given the chance to submit proposals.

The three companies are CCCC Second Harbour Engineering, Sichuan Road and Bridge Construction, and China Railway Bridge and Engineering.

The ministry said that bidding documents were handed over to the three companies in a recent information session.

The government said earlier that the agreement for the project would be signed on Saturday, 14 November 2015.
