A house in Hithadhoo, Addu City, has been searched in relation to the investigation of the 28 September explosion on presidential speedboat, Finifenmaa.
This is the first location outside Malé to be searched as part of this investigation.
The Criminal Court order warranting the search of Bokarumaage, Hithadhoo, Addu City, stated that the purpose of the search was to find evidence for the Finifenmaa blast investigation.
In addition to Bokarumaage, a building was also searched in Malé on Friday.
Police raided the building where Ma. Cocoa, Ma. Cocoage, and Ma. Cocoama are located at around 5:00 p.m. The exact apartment searched is unclear.
Several locations have been searched and arrests have been made in relation to the boat blast investigation.
Addressing the nation following the incident, President Abdulla Yameen said that explosive materials had been found in some places searched by police.
More suspected premises need to be searched to ensure public safety and security, the President said.
