Two arrested for possession in Kaashidhoo

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of possession in Kaafu Kaashidhoo.

Police said 13 small packets containing substances believed to be drugs were found at the scene of the arrest - an uninhabited house in the island.

The arrests were made on Wednesday night.

The suspects, Maldivian men aged 19 and 18, have been given 10 and 7 days of detention respectively by Kaashidhoo Magistrate Court.

The case is under investigation by Kaashidhoo Police Station.
