Adeeb, Ziyath appeal cases submitted to High Court

The appeal cases regarding the extension of detention periods for Vice President Ahmed Adeeb and Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) Abdulla Ziyath have been submitted to High Court.

Spokesperson for Criminal Court Ahmed Mohamed Manik said that the papers, which were filed to Criminal Court, were sent to High Court today.

Adeeb has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the explosion on the presidential speedboat on 28 September 2015, while Ziyath has been arrested after official police documents were found in his apartment.
