Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Gafoor, who was arrested yesterday in the suspicion of involvement in the Presidential Launch explosion, has had his remand extended by 15 days by the Criminal Court.

Adheeb's hearing was conducted via video conference after his transfer to Maafushi court.

Vice President Ahmed Adheeb was arrested at the airport upon his return from his official visit to China. He has been charge in the explosion on board the Presidential Launch.

The suspicions against the Vice President is unclear at this time.
