Mohamed Meead has denied the terrorism charge against him following the arson attack on Raajje TV building.
The State presented the charges against Meead at the hearing in Criminal Court today, following which Meead requested for a lawyer.
The court granted him seven days to appoint a lawyer.
The arson attack on BKT Building early morning on 6 October 2013 destroyed all equipment in Raajje TV office, as well as all goods in the warehouse of Computer Plus located in the same building.
The investigation showed Meead had suffered burns on his right arm.
While only Meead was charged, police had identified nine suspects in its investigation report sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The nine suspects are men aged 35, 24, 21, 20, two men aged 22 and 21, and a minor aged 17.
