Gulf Craft Maldives has said that their company is a 100 percent foreign investment in the Maldives and no Maldivian has a share of the company.
The company issued a statement yesterday responding to the use of “Gulf Craft” in name of Haamid Ismail, saying that the Gulf Craft Service Center is registered at the Ministry of Trade and Industry and run by the head office in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The statement said that the aside from running the Maldivian Branch of Gulf Craft, all of it’s financing is also done from their head office in UAE.
Gulf Craft said that using the company in name with people who are not related to the company is something that the company is not happy about. And said that the company would continue it’s services without any changes.
A branch of Gulf Craft was opened in the Maldives in 2000.
