ADK Hospital has said that the eight month baby that fell into the elevator shaft from the sixth floor of H. Fennaage today has a broken skull and has bled inside the skull.
Managing Director of the hospital, Ahmed Afaal told Sun Media tonight that the baby is still in the ICU and due to the injuries to the baby’s head, a surgery has been done.
“It’s very critical, that child. The child is very sick. An operation has now been done due to the injuries to the head. The child is still in the ICU.” Afaal said.
He said that the child’s grandmother who fell into the elevator shaft with him is in stable condition and is recovering.
A person living in H. Fennaage told Sun Media that the child was not moving when they found the child. And said that when the child’s grandmother fell, her dress caught on a steel bar in the shaft. The child also lost the diaper after the fall.
“The lift box was sealed before. By sealed I mean there was a small wall built. But claiming to install the lift, it hasn’t been many days since the wall was taken down. We’re scared to even look at that lift box now. There are a lot of small children living in this building.” A person living at H. Fennaage said.
Police Media Official told Sun Media today that around 12:38 p.m. today, a 56-year-old woman and an eight month year old baby fell into the elevator shaft at H. Fennaage and was reported to the Police.
