Dunya congratulates new Foreign Minister of Singapore

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Dunya Maumoon has sent a congratulatory message to the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan.

Foreign Ministry said that Dunya, in her message to Dr Balakrishnan, said that she looked forward to working with him to enhance the existing ties of friendship between the Maldives and Singapore for the mutual benefit and progress of the people of both countries.

“I am confident that the friendly relations that exist between our two countries will be further strengthened during Your Excellency’s term of office.”

Dr Balakrishnan has previously served as Minister of Environment and Water Resources, Minister of Youth, Minister of Information, and Minister of Communication and Arts of Singapore.
