Scores bearing flowers visit First Lady in hospital

Supporters of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) have visited First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, who is in the hospital following the blast on the presidential speedboat on Monday.

The group, made up of government officials, PPM members, and children, took with them white roses.

A participant told Sun Online that the purpose of the visit was to show respect and support.

Moosa Anwar, who also took part in the event, said that the group consisted of well-wishers and PPM members who were active on social media.

The group was welcomed by the First Lady, who was all-smiles and shook hands many of them.
