Four Sri Lankan investigators arrive in Maldives to help in the Presidential launch investigation

Four Sri Lankan investigators have arrived in the Maldives to provide forensic assistance in the investigation of the explosion on the Presidential launch “Finifenma” (Rose).

Talking to Sun Media today, the Police Media Official said that four investigation specialists arrived in the country this morning.

The Police Media Official said that the investigation as to the cause of the explosion on board the Presidential Launch is already underway. He said that the four Sri Lankan investigators have joined the other foreign teams in the investigation.

President and the First Lady were traveling from Hulhulé to the Capital, Malé after their Hajj Pilgrimage when the explosion that took place on board the Presidential launch. Along with a bodyguard of the President, a presidential aide and the First Lady, Fathimath Ibrahim was injured in the explosion.
