Hajj Corporation: Pilgrim returns are delayed due to problem with checking system at Jeddah Airport

Maldives Hajj Corporation has said that changes to the return flights of the Maldivian Hajj Pilgrims are being delayed and due to a problem with the checking system and the luggage belt at Jeddah Airport.

A press statement issued by the Hajj Corporation today said that due to the delays, Mega Maldives have arranged the food and accommodation of the Maldivian Pilgrims at a hotel in Jiddah. And since no changes can be made to the buses from Mecca to Jeddah, all the Pilgrims have begun the journey to Jeddah.

The statement from the Hajj Corporation said that Mega Maldives have assured thee delivery of Zamzam water for the Pilgrims of the second flight who could not get any. And as soon as the Hajj Corporation gets the water, it would be given to the Pilgrims.

Although some of the Maldivian Pilgrims have returned to the country, the first flight to bring the Pilgrims back the country was also delayed due to a problem with the airport checking system.
