Ooredoo has said that they would support in reaching the National Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals) set by the United Nations.
Global Goals is a series of ambitious targets to end extreme poverty and tackle climate change for everyone signed by 193 World Leaders based off the Millennium Development Goals. The 17 Global Goals are to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years.
Speaking at the press conference at Ooredoo Office today, the CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, Vikram Sinha said that Ooredoo would work to help in resolving the problems facing the Maldivian people and so they would be assisting in achieving the targets of Global Goals.
At the press conference, U.N. Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative Ms. Shoko Noda said that she is joyous that Ooredoo is taking part in the efforts by the Maldives to achieve Global Goals. Ms. Shoko Noda said that taking advantage of the modern mobile technology is important to achieve the targets.
