The flight carrying the second batch of hajj pilgrims, scheduled to land in Maldives at 2:50 p.m., has been delayed.
An official of Mega Maldives told Sun Online that the passengers are at Jeddah Airport prepared to depart, but the flight has been delayed due to problems with the check-in system and luggage belt.
The length of the delay is unclear.
The flight carrying the first batch of pilgrims was also delayed due to airport problems.
Mega Maldives carried 1,766 hajj pilgrims on six chartered flights.
The trip was organised for 1,300 out of the 1,766 by Hajj Corporation.
