Minor arrested with what is believed to be alcohol

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in Hithadhoo, Addu City with what is believed to be a bottle containing alcohol.

Police said that the boy was arrested around 3:15 p.m. at the house where he lives.

The bottle containing the suspected alcohol was found inside a sack of coconut shells during the search of the residence.

Hithadhoo Court has added 10 days to the boy’s remand.

The case is being investigated by the Hithadhoo Police Station in Addu City.
