Boy attempted suicide by hanging dies

The boy who attempted suicide by hanging in the island of Thinadhoo in Gaaf Dhaal Atoll died last night.

The boy attempted suicide on 29th July and was admitted in Thinadhoo Regional Hospital. He was brought Malé for further treatment on 31st of July.

He died after being transferred from ICU to the ward, says IGMH. But IGMH did not give any detail why he died. According to the family, the doctors had given up hope for the boy’s recovery a week before.

It is said that the boy attempted suicide by hanging after a disagreement with his sister over some toys.
