Man arrested in Fuvahmulah for sexually abusing a 12-year-old child

A man suspected of sexually abusing a 12-year-old child has been arrested in Gn. Fuvahmulah.

Police said that they arrested a 54-year-old man in the case. They did not confirm it was a 12-year-old boy or a girl that was abused.

Police said that the man was arrested with a court order on the same day following a case reported to the Police on 4 September.

Fuvahmulah Court has extended his remand by 15 days.
