Drugs seized, two arrested in operation in Gaafu Atoll

Police have seized drugs and arrested two people in an operation using sniffer dogs in Gaafu Atoll.

No details related to the suspects have been disclosed.

The operations were conducted in Gaafu Alifu Vilingili, Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo, Gaafu Dhaalu Fares-Maathoda, and Gaafu Dhaalu Gadhdhoo.

Police said that 57 houses and eight vacant land plots were searched, and 80 suspects were frisked as part of the operation.

Items seized include drugs, alcohol, items used in drug trafficking, and equipment used for producing alcohol.
