Nazim receives treatment at IGMH

Former Minister of Defence Mohamed Nazim has consulted a doctor at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Nazim’s family member told Sun Online that Maldives Correctional Service had not informed the family the reason for the consultation.

He confirmed that Nazim saw a doctor and did tests at IGMH this morning.

Nazim has consulted doctors for eye problems on several occasions lately.

Nazim’s brother Adam Azim said earlier that Nazim had a recurring eye problem but was otherwise fine.

Nazim was sentenced to 11 years in prison for possession of firearms on 27 March 2015.
