Dear President page receives over 2,000 messages

Over 2,000 messages have been posted on the “Dear President” page, the President’s Office has said.

The feedback page was launched in June 2015, to allow members of the public to share their ideas, suggestions, and concerns with the president.

Popular topics include the bridge project, and the recent amendment to allow foreign ownership of land in the Maldives.

President’s Office said that many people are misinformed regarding the amendment, and work is ongoing to provide more information on the page on this issue .

The President’s Office also noted that many people had praised the government for the 50th Independence Day celebrations, and for its efforts towards improving conditions for people with special needs.
