The Maldivian Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has taken part in the Global Conference on Anti-Corruption Reform in Small Island States held in Mauritius from 17 – 21 August.
Representing the ACC in the conference is the Vice President of ACC, Muavviz Rasheed and a member of the Commission, Yazmeed Mohamed.
The purpose of the conference is to review the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) of the Small Islands Developing States (SIDS) and discuss and providing technical assistance, the challenges facing these countries and supporting in implementing the UNCAC regulations.
The ACC ran a presentation on their work and implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy 2010-2014 and the strategic planning of the 215-2020 by the ACC and the progress of it’s implementation at today’s Implementing UNCAC Recommendations Action Plan and National Strategy session of the Conference.
The presentation was run by Vice President of ACC.
