Part of IGMH ceiling falls following heavy rain

Part of the ceiling in a ward in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has fallen following heavy rain.

The incident occurred last night, in a ward where patients were present.

IGMH Spokesperson Zeenath Ali Habeeb told Sun Online that the ceiling fell after being damaged by water, and the problem will be solved soon following renovation, which is ongoing.

She added that the part that fell has been removed and the area has been cleared.

Damage of various degrees was experienced in Male’ and other islands yesterday due to heavy rain.
