Civil Service Commission on Wednesday launched their online software – “Viuga 2.0” – designed to make information on work by all institutions that fall under civil service and how civil service workers are performing.
The new software links civil service institutions in atolls to Civil Service Commission and makes information regarding performance of the institutions available online.
In a ceremony held at STELCO conference chamber, the new online software was officially launched by National University Chancellor and former Civil Service Commission President Dr. Mohamed Latheef and Civil Service Commission Deputy President Ahmed Hassan Didi.
Speaking during the ceremony, Civil Service Commission Deputy President Ahmed Hassan Didi said that the new software would speed up the commission’s work considerably. And that its various other benefits included it being easier to resolve work-related issues, issues being resolved at a faster speed, and making changes to administrative structure.
National University Chancellor Dr. Mohamed Latheef said that the end game of “Viuga 2.0” was to increase the speed and quality of services provided to public. And to carry out national development projects by state at high speed and without any problems.
The online software used previously by Civil Service Commission was “Viuga 1.0”. The commission has now upgraded the software and started using “Viguga 2.0”.
