A medical registration exam has been held for the first time ever in the Maldives.
The test, to assess the standard of doctors, was taken by one local doctor and four foreign doctors yesterday.
An official of Health Ministry told Sun Online that doctors who fail the first exam will have the chance to take it again.
Maldives Medical Council announced earlier that all medical officers wishing to work in the Maldives will be required to take this exam in the future.
The exam consists of 300 questions and two papers.
