A delegate from the Elections Commission has left for Sri Lanka to observe the election

A delegate from the Elections Commission of the Maldives has left for Sri Lanka to observe the Sri Lankan Parliament elections.

The delegate from the Elections Commission includes the President of the Commission, Ahmed Sulaiman, member Mohamed Shakeel, member Ahmed Akram and the Assistant Director, Shahula Rushdhee.

The Parliamentary Elections of Sri Lanka is scheduled to be held on 17 August.

The Elections Commission said that the Maldivian delegate would be involved in the observation of all the proceedings from 10 – 19 August.
