A department of the Housing Ministry opens in Addu

After overtaking some of the services from the Addu City Council, a department of the Housing Minister has been opened in Addu City.

The newly opened department of the Housing Ministry opened in Hithadhoo today is to provide the services taken over by the Ministry from the Addu City Council. The City’s lands, roads, ports, monuments and parks have been moved under the Housing Ministry. And the services related to these places would now be provided by the Ministry’s department in Addu City.

The team of the Housing Ministry in Addu told Sun Media that the new department of the Ministry in Addu has over 100 employees. Those are employees for under the Addu City Council in the sectors overtaken by the Ministry.

The Deputy Mayor of Addu City, Abdulla Thoyyib and the Deputy Minister of the Housing Ministry were in attendance at the opening of the opening ceremony of the new department of the Housing Ministry in Addu City.

The services of the newly opened department of the Housing Ministry at Hithadhoo’s Ward Office would officially begin tomorrow.
