VP leaves for Malta

Maldivian Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Gafoor left in an official visit to Malta, Friday night.

President’s Office said that VP Adeeb left for Malta after concluding his official visit to Egypt to attend the opening ceremony of the new Suez Canal.

During his stay in Egypt, VP Adeeb visited many of the famous historical spots and economic hubs in the country, and even visited Maldivians studying in Egypt. He asked after their wellbeing and provided assurances government was committed to the betterment of students studying in Egypt. He also asked their opinions on various government policies.

He was seen off at Cairo International Airport by Minister of Technical Education and Training, Mohamed Yoosuf.

VP during his visit to Malta is scheduled to pay a visit to President of Malta Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and hand over a letter by Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
