Man dies after being hit by motorcycle

A expatriate man died last night while under treatment for injuries sustained when he was hit by a speeding motorcycle. In the incident which occurred yesterday evening, the man suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment.

The man was identified, according to a Police Media Official, as Muhammad Tajul Islam, a national of Bangladesh.

The driver was a “child” under the age of 18 who drove against the law without a license, and the police have already arrested him.

The Police also said that the accident occurred at the Fish Market Area, and that the motorcycle was being driven at a speed way past the legal limit. Police also said that the case was being investigated.

No comment has yet been made by the IGMH.
