Shaheem has resigned from the President of Foreign Relations Committee of Adhaalath

Vice Chancellor of the Islamic University and the former Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem has resigned from his position as the President of the Foreign Relations Committee of Adhaalath Party.

Dr. Shaheem tweeted today said that he resigned to abide by the regulations of the Islamic University.

Article 19-H of the Islamic University Regulations says that only someone who is not in a political party can be selected as a member of the Council at the Islamic University.

Although Dr. Shaheem resigned from the Foreign Relations Committee, he is still a member of Adhaalath Party.

Dr. Shaheem was selected as the Vice Chancellor of the Islamic University by the President Abdulla Yamin last Sunday.

Former member of Adhaalath Party’s Scholars Council, Dr. Shaheem played a major role in the government’s efforts to establish an Islamic University. He was also the Chair of the Committee created by the President for the pre-bid work of the Islamic University.

Dr. Shaheem said that he would work to make the students who graduate from the Islamic University capable, knowledgeable people. And that he would do everything he can to bring the experience of all of the universities of the Islamic community around the world.

According to the law, Vice Chancellor is the highest position to implement the education regulations decided by the council.
