Director of Elections, Haneefa suspended again

The Director of Legal Affairs and Political Parties Regulations at the Elections Commission, Mariyam Haneefa Khalid, has been suspended for ten days pending an investigation of the Elections Commission.

Secretary General of the Elections Commission, Ahmed Ali told Sun Media tonight that, “Haneefa was suspended in an investigation by the Commission and if she’s coming to work, it has a negative effect on the case.”

Sources say that the investigation by the commission involves her insubordination and mistreatment of staff.

Haneefa was also suspended during the 2013 Presidential Election as well. She was suspended for calling “money, money” at a Police officer.
