Leader of JP returns to the Maldives

Leader of Jumhooree Party (JP), Qasim Ibrahim has returned to the country after two to three months abroad.

JP confirms that Qasim returned to the country on a morning flight today. The Party said that Qasim returned to the country after completing his visit to Thailand and Germany.

Qasim Ibrahim left the country right around the time when the accounts of his company, Villa Group was frozen. The accounts have been now released after they agreed to pay it’s debt to the state.

The JP President changed his policies when he was abroad. Initially he was against to change the age for Presidential candidacy to below 65 years of age. But he later changed his standing and supported the amendment.
