Former MP Nazim admitted to hospital

Former Dhiggaru MP Ahmed Nazim, who has been sentenced to lifetime imprisonment after being convicted of corruption, has been admitted to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Information Officer of Maldives Correctional Service Moosa Rameez told Sun Online that Nazim was admitted after he consulted a doctor for back pain.

He said that Nazim’s condition is not serious, but he is required to undergo physiotherapy.

Nazim will also see a doctor for diabetes, and when he will be released from the hospital is not yet known, Rameez said.
