Man stabbed in Thakandhoo

A man has been stabbed in Haa Alifu Thakandhoo.

The police spokesperson said that the incident took place just before 9:00 p.m. today.

Thakandhoo Council President told Sun Online that the victim is a 42-year-old man and he was stabbed on the face near the right ear.

Work is ongoing to transport him to Haa Alifu Kulhudhuffushi Hospital.

Police have identified a suspect, a man aged 56.

The suspect served a six-month prison sentence last year after being convicted of issuing death threats. He was released in December 2014.

No one has been arrested yet.
