Police officer injured in traffic collision

A Police officer involved in a traffic collision has been injured in Hithadhoo, Addu City after his motorcycle came in contact with a car.

Police Media Official said that the officer injured in Sunday’s collision has been brought to Malé City for further treatment. Police Media Official said that the officer sustained major head trauma.

The Police officer involved in the collision had a passenger on his motorcycle. Neither he nor the driver of the car sustained any major injuries. The car received numerous damages from the impact with the motorcycle.

Sources say that at the time of the collision, there was no way to take him to the hospital so the officer was taken to the hospital on his own motorcycle by the man who was with the officer.
