A house in Mal

As part of the government program against Dengue Fever, a house in Malé has been cleaned taking out seven trucks of waste.

The Housing Ministry started cleaning M. Laamige next to the Theemuge parking zone. It is an empty house taken by the government.

The Executive Coordinator of the Housing Ministry, Abdulla Shareef told Sun Media today that since the house has been abandoned long ago, there were a large number of wastes at the house. He said that up to last night, seven trucks of waste was taken out from that house.

“There’s a lot of waste. Even last night around seven trucks of waste was taken out the cleaning is still not done.” Shareef said.

He said that the Housing Ministry would continue cleaning today and tonight as well. He said that the reason there is a lot of waster there is because the people living in the nearby houses keep throwing their garbage into the house.

A national cleaning campaign against the Dengue Fever spreading in the country was initiated today across the nation.
