A seaplane of Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has crashed into the two miles off Lh. Kureddhoo Resort.
There were 12 passengers and three crew members onboard when the plane went down around 5:30 p.m. today. They all have been safely transported to Kureddhoo Resort.
Operations Manager of Kureddhoo, Ahmed Aalim told Sun Media that no one was injured when they rescued and brought back to the resort and all are doing well.
“When we arrived on scene, the plane was not completely submerged. The passengers and the crew were well.” Operations Manager at Kureddhoo, Ahmed Aalim said.
A staff at Kureddhoo that went to the scene said that the plane crashed during landing. He said that the plane aside from the floats has been submerged.
The plane had a Sri Lankan pilot and a Swedish pilot and they are both well.
There has been no word from TMA or the Civil Aviation Authority as of yet.
MNDF and the Police are now operating at the scene of the crash. Police Media Official said that the investigation of the crash is now underway and so cannot comment on any specifics as of yet.

The two floats of the crashed TMA seaplane has been brought to Lh. Huravalhi, a resort under construction. All parts of the plane aside from the floats are lost at sea.

Operations Manager of Kuredu Resort Ahmed Alim says that none of the passengers were injured, and that they are safely in Kuredu Resort.
The aircraft had not fully sunk when we reached the scene. Passengers and crew are in good condition.

An employee of Kuredu Resort says that the plane crashed during landing.
Work is ongoing to remove the floating parts from the water, and take them to Kuredu Resort.

Photos received by Sun Online show parts of the aircraft floating. The fuselage seems to be under water.
