Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has announced its working hours, and said that it will open every day except Fridays during Ramadan.
During normal months, MIRA is open only five days a week during official working hours.
During Ramadan, Tax and Fee Payment and Registration services would be available from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every day except Fridays.
Queue numbers will be issued from the Information Counter from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., from the Huravee Collection Centre for Visa from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and for Visa Express from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., every day except Fridays.
The administration department will accept letters and other documents until 3:00 p.m.
While MIRA has increased working hours during Ramadan, the normal practice by government offices and private companies is to reduce working hours during Ramadan.
