Four arrested for prostitution

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of prostitution in Malé.

Police said that a woman and three men from Bangladesh were arrested from the crime scene following the raid of a house in Mahchangolhi at around 8:00 p.m. on Monday.

Cash in Rufiyaa and foreign currencies and items used in sexual activities were seized from the house by police.

In a separate incident, eight people including a Maldivian were arrested on suspicion of prostitution one week ago in Malé.
