Dunya meets with Qatari counterpart

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon has called on Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Dr Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.

At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar on Wednesday, 10 June 2015, Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Attiyah welcomed Dunya and noted the close historical ties of friendship and cooperation that exist between the two countries.

Foreign Ministry said that Dunya thanked the Qatari Foreign Minister for the warm welcome and hospitality and expressed appreciation on behalf of the government and people of the Maldives to the government and people of Qatar, for the close cooperation and assistance from Qatar towards the development of the Maldives.

The discussion also focused on ways to further strengthen the close bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Dunya was accompanied in the visit by Ambassador-at-Large at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Hameed, Director at President’s Office Mohamed Luveiz, and Assistant Director at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maryam Bassama Farooq.
