A toy gun and it’s ammunition has been halted by the Customs during import.
Sun Media has received the letter sent by Customs to the owner who attempted to import the toy gun on 28 May.
The letter said that under the Defense Ministry’s advice on that gun and six bullets, they have been deemed inappropriate to be released and has been confiscated by the Defense Ministry.
Sources say that that gun is not a weapon. But the bullet fired from that gun could hurt a person.
Senior Superintendent of Customs, Ahmed Niyaz told Sun Media today that although children’s toys are being released, Defense Ministry is being consulted with before releasing guns made of “metal materials”.
